Every driving instructor must be registered and approved by the Driving Standards Agency who then grade the instructor.

The Standards Check has replaced the ADI Check Test. It assesses your ability to teach pupils. Your knowledge and ability to use coaching techniques in a client central way so that your students learn in the best way possible. I am very proud to say that I achieved the highest score possible, 51 out of 51 which makes me a Grade A Instructor

Before the change the instructor's grade was based on how clear, thorough and correct their instruction was, their observation and correction of their pupil's errors and their manner, patience, tact and ability to inspire confidence. The grades range from 1 - 6. 1 being the lowest and 6 the highest. Only around 7% of instructors achieved a grade 6

I am happy and proud to say I was a grade 6 and carried this forward to become a 51 out of 51 Grade A instructor, highest grade possible.
